The Quiet Return

In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength. It is a countercultural sentence. We are taught that strength looks like activity, noise, constant motion.

But Scripture locates strength in the quiet — in the turning back, the stillness, the trust that does not need to strive. Today, before the noise begins, take a moment of quiet. That stillness is not wasted time. It is where strength is found.
