Rooted and Unhurried

A tree planted by water does not panic in a dry season. Its roots have gone deep, reaching quietly toward a source that does not run out. When the heat comes, its leaves stay green.

Depth is built slowly, in unremarkable seasons, through ordinary habits of prayer and attention. The rootedness you build now is what will hold you when the drought arrives. Do not despise the slow, hidden work.
