Tempt, Temptation

To tempt someone is to try to lead that person to do what is wrong. Temptation is the desire or pressure to sin. In the Bible, temptation may come from a person's own desires (James 1:14), from other people, or from Satan. God may test people, but he does not tempt them to do evil (James 1:13).

See Test.
