A witch is a person who claims to use supernatural power by calling on spirits or hidden forces. Witchcraft refers to the practices connected with this activity.
In the Bible, witchcraft includes trying to control events, gain knowledge, or harm others through magic, spells, or contact with spirits. These practices were common in many ancient cultures.
