đź“– Listen to God
Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105
God speaks to us through the Bible. It isn’t one book but a library of sixty-six, written over many centuries, and all of it points to Jesus.
Don’t start at Genesis and push through. Start with one of the Gospels. Mark is short and fast; John is deeper and slower. Read a little and ask three questions: What does this show me about God? About people? What will I do about it?
When something doesn’t make sense, that’s normal. Write it down and ask someone.
Read 2 Timothy 3:14–17
14But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them. 15From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. 16Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
