😨 Afraid
“Do not be afraid” is one of the most repeated commands in the Bible, and it always comes with a reason: God is with you.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
1But now Yahweh who created you, Jacob, and he who formed you, Israel says: “Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.
Isaiah 43:1–2
3When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. 4In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
Psalm 56:3–4
Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7
