π© Tired
Jesus invites the weary to come to him, not to try harder. Rest is part of Godβs design, not a reward for finishing everything.
28βCome to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.β
Matthew 11:28β30
29He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. 30Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; 31But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29β31
It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones.
Psalm 127:2
1Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his nameβs sake.
Psalm 23:1β3
He said to them, βYou come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.β For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
Mark 6:31
