Jesus took Peter, James and John up a mountain.
Jesus was changed right in front of them. The disciples saw the glory Jesus had as the Son of God.
Moses and Elijah were there speaking with Jesus. They were two of the most important people from Israel’s history.
Peter was so amazed and afraid that his words and ideas were confused. Then God spoke and urged the disciples to listen to Jesus and to obey him.
Jesus told the three disciples not to tell anyone what they had seen on the mountain. Only after he rose from the dead could they tell others about it. The disciples didn’t understand what Jesus meant about rising from the dead.
